I've been going to Great Skate for years because it's close and the skate area was one of the better ones that I've been to. The only complaint I have is the MUSIC. Every time I've been to open skaiting it's ALWAYS RAP or R&B. When I've gone to the adult open skate in the morning it's ORGAN MUSIC. There needs to be a happy medium here. Surprisingly, not everyone that goes to Great Skate is a fan of RAP. And organ music is lame when you're skating. Soft rock/easy listening would be fine; music from the 60s thru the 90s would be fine. There's a LOT to choose from, so I don't understand why patrons have their choice between rap or organ music. Come on, Great Skate.

This establishment is always busy, lots of people but even more kids!! Have been to a birthday party here and while it was nice, it seemed rushed. I don't like the idea of having the birthday party room upstairs when the kids are wearing skates and expected to walk up and down with them on....does that make sense? Sounds like an accident waiting to happen to me!! The pizza was just okay, there wasn't enough, and the staff just kinda stood there, looking like they wanted to go skate!! The place was clean enough and the skate floor is big and accomodating. There are small lockers to keep your valuables in while you skate, there is a concession stand to eat at, and there is a place to win tickets at games and turn them in for prizes. Parking lot is big but can get congested. Its hard to know who is staff and who is just skating!!

Great skate is a place that i've been going to ever since I was a teenager. Now my kids enjoy the fun of roller skateing or roller blading. It's a great place to go with friends or family .There are people all different ages.It is also a great place to throw a kids birthday party.
